Alan Chandler wrote, "At the risk of sounding like an alarmist, every church needs to examine their current form of church government. Why, because within the next 10-15 years, every church will either change the way they make decisions or they will collapse under the weight of their own hierarchal machinery."
Changes in this area of ministry are often the most difficult. But if things can change here, they can change throughout the whole church. Otherwise, changes in the rest of the church are next to impossible.

In over our heads
Believe it or not, I finally started uploading some recent sermons to my new website. I did a series in Daniel last year in Otego, and those notes are now available at home.stanbaker.info.
Thought for the day, from Daniel 10: Anytime we try to do the will of God and make a difference for God, we are in over our heads. All of life is meant to be lived under the power and strength of God.

Changes
More than a year ago, I changed how I handled my website (stanbaker.org, blog.stanbaker.org), and parts of it just never quite worked right. Hence, I gave up on it, though I know it would have been helpful to keep uploading sermon notes and .mp3s from my teaching at Otego Baptist Church.
So it is a new year, and a new opportunity, and I think I have simplified things enough that it will be relatively easy to keep a website and blog updated. (It's one of those things ... if it isn't easy, it isn't going to get done - life is too crazy).
The new site will be at home.stanbaker.info, hosted by Google Apps, with some features hosted by GoDaddy.com. I hope it all works out. I appreciate those who care about what I say, and the sermons I deliver.
God bless you and the changes YOU are working on in the new year. Let's learn together on the journey.
Stay tuned, stuff will be uploaded and active soon at home.stanbaker.info.
